Online therapy for relationships, anxiety, self-doubt & body image
Untangling your relationships starts with understanding yourself.
Online counselling for adults across the UK who are tired of overthinking, second-guessing themselves, worrying about what other people think, or feeling like they need to change themselves to feel okay.

Maybe you recognise some of this...
You might be doing pretty well on paper, but inside things feel harder than they probably look.
Maybe you spend a lot of time worrying, second-guessing yourself or trying to work out the ‘right’ thing to do. You might find yourself keeping the peace, putting other people first or feeling guilty when you don't. Perhaps you know you're a people-pleaser, but knowing it and actually doing something differently are two very different things.
You might be hard on yourself without even really noticing you're doing it. Your confidence can depend a little too much on how other people see you, how well you're doing, what your relationships feel like, or even how you feel about your body that day.
...Or just maybe there isn't one obvious thing you can point to. You're just tired of feeling anxious, stuck in the same patterns, or like you're always working quite hard to feel ok. You don't need to arrive at therapy with a neat explanation for any of this. We can start with what life feels like for you now and make sense of it together.
What we might explore together
Therapy with me isn't just about getting rid of symptoms; I'm interested in understanding what's underneath the overthinking, people-pleasing, body criticism or anxiety.
We could explore (but isn't limited to):
Anxiety & overthinking — what's keeping your mind on constant alert, the need for certainty/reassurance, replaying and anticipating.
Self-doubt & people-pleasing — learning to recognise your own wants, preferences and boundaries without immediately filtering them through everyone else's reactions.
Body image — understanding the relationship you've developed with your body, shame, comparison and appearance, without assuming your body itself is the problem.
Relationships & patterns — how you respond to conflict, closeness, rejection, responsibility and other people's emotions.
What is therapy with me like?
Online therapy for relationships, anxiety, self-doubt & body image
There isn't a set formula for therapy with me. Some weeks you might arrive with something you really need to talk about. Other weeks you might log on and say, “I have absolutely no idea what to talk about today.” We can work with both.
I’m interested in what’s happening for you now, but also in getting curious about what sits underneath it. Why does saying no feel so uncomfortable? Where did you learn that keeping everyone else happy was your job? Why does knowing something logically not necessarily change how you feel about it?
We might notice patterns together, make connections with earlier experiences, explore what's happening in your relationships or slow something down that you usually rush past. Sometimes I might offer a different way of looking at something, ask a question that makes you think, or bring in an idea or tool that feels relevant. But therapy isn't about me telling you what to do or deciding what the ‘healthiest’ version of you should look like. I'm much more interested in helping you understand yourself, trust yourself a little more and have more choice about what you do next.
....And we don't have to make every session profound. Sometimes therapy is messy, funny, frustrating or seemingly all over the place. That's allowed too. You can find out more about me and my approach, or head back to my counselling and therapy homepage for an overview of my practice.
